MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) - The work on revising legislation will continue, and the quality of regulatory legal acts will be improved. This task will be set for the Belarusian Justice Ministry during a board meeting to review the performance of the ministry, its subordinate bodies and organizations in 2025, as well as objectives for the upcoming period, Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Olga Chupris told the media on 10 February, BelTA has learned.
“I would like to remind you that the review ended quite successfully. More than half of the acts that existed at the start of the review were reduced. Furthermore, we improved the quality of the regulatory legal acts that were analyzed, and this is a major achievement,” Olga Chupris said.

At the same time, following the report on the review’s outcomes, the head of state indicated the need to continue this work, pointing out that there is still room for improvement. This task, including improving the quality of regulatory legal acts, will be set for the Justice Ministry today.
According to the deputy head of the Belarus President Administration, the head of state draws attention to the presence of reference norms. The task has been set to prepare clear and accessible regulatory legal acts.
“Accordingly, the task for the Justice Ministry will be to write simply, clearly, accessibly, and to conduct legal review so that these acts are implemented in our daily life, so that there is no need to invent additional algorithms to enforce what was previously written,” Olga Chupris said.

According to her, the upcoming board meeting is quite significant. In 2025, the Justice Ministry worked extensively on fulfilling two crucial assignments from the head of state. In addition to completing the legislation review, the work of the Belarusian notary system was improved. “Both assignments relate to improving the quality of work with the population, the quality of legal assistance provided to citizens, and improving regulatory legal acts also in the interests of our country’s citizens,” the deputy head of the Belarus President Administration added.
