MINSK, 15 December (BelTA) – Deputies adopted the draft law “On amending laws on individual entrepreneurial activity” in its second reading at the third session of the House of Representatives, BelTA has learned.
According to the Standing Commission on Economic Policy of the House of Representatives, the title of the bill was clarified in preparation for the second reading in order to eliminate uncertainty during the informational and organizational support of the bill, including interaction with the media.
The bill aims to align certain laws with Law No. 365-Z of 22 April 2024 “On amending laws on entrepreneurial activity,” in matters of “terminology related to individual entrepreneurs, lists of activities permitted for individual entrepreneurs and the self-employed, and regulations on other issues related to the implementation of this legislative act.”
Specifically, the legislation will be amended to formally establish definitions for “individuals engaged in individual entrepreneurial activity,” “individual entrepreneur,” “individual engaged in independent professional activity,” “individual engaged in craft activities,” and “individual engaged in the provision of services in the field of agroecotourism” within the legal framework.
By amending the Code on the Judicial System and the Status of Judges and the Code of Civil Procedure, the procedure for individual entrepreneurs to appeal to the courts, as well as the procedure for their interaction with government agencies and other organizations related to their professional activities in judicial and pre-trial proceedings, has been regulated.
Furthermore, the areas of activity in which individual entrepreneurs may engage are clarified.
