Belavia cancels several flights to Europe, Asia over coronavirus

MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian national air carrier Belavia is canceling several flights to Europe and Asia because of coronavirus, BelTA learned from the Belavia website.

The complete list of canceled flights with the cancellation dates is available on the Belavia website. In particular, several flights were canceled to Baku (Azerbaijan), Yerevan (Armenia), Brussels (Belgium), London (Great Britain), Budapest (Hungary), Frankfurt, Berlin, Hannover, Munich (Germany), Tbilisi (Georgia), Almaty and Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan), Riga (Latvia), Vilnius (Lithuania), Kishinev (Moldova), Belgrade (Serbia), Kharkov (Ukraine), Geneva (Switzerland), Stockholm (Sweden), Helsinki (Finland), Paris and Nice (France), Prague (Czech Republic) and Tallinn (Estonia). Several flights to Russian cities such as Nizhny Novgorod, Kaliningrad, Voronezh, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don, Kazan and Sochi were also canceled.

All flights to Italy and Turkmenistan were canceled. Belavia decided to cancel all flights to Milan from 12 March to 15 April inclusively and to Rome from 16 March to 15 April inclusively. All the flights to Ashgabat were canceled from 5 March to 1 April inclusively.

The national air carried also axed flights to Israel. Minsk-Tel Aviv-Minsk flights will not be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays on 13-31 March, leaving only Sunday flights in the schedule.

If a flight is canceled, a ticket will be fully refunded without additional charges. Another option is to reschedule the flight. This can be done till 31 May without additional charges within the same service class on the same route.

To return a ticket bought on the Belavia website, it is necessary to send a passenger refund application form to Belavia's e-mail support@belavia.by (the application form is available on the Belavia website).
