MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian Association of International Road Carriers (BAMAP) has proposed a direct dialogue to the leadership of the Lithuanian Association of Road Carriers (LINAVA), BAMAP told BelTA.

The association stated: “Currently, Belarusian road carriers, like their Lithuanian counterparts, are suffering significant economic losses due to the ongoing situation at the border. If these restrictions remain in place, this can cause irreparable damage to the transport industries of both countries. Thus, BAMAP has approached the leadership of LINAVA with a proposal to initiate a direct dialogue between the associations.”

The goal of this dialogue, they clarified, would be to develop joint proposals for the governments of the two countries to quickly resolve not only the current crisis, but also to restore the full operation of all checkpoints on the Belarusian-Lithuanian border and create stable conditions for international transport in accordance with business needs and economic logic.
