
MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) - Belarusian rescuers have arrived at the airport of Naypyidaw, the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Emergencies Ministry.
In the near future, the first group of specialists will head to Mandalay, the area most affected by the earthquake.
The Belarusian emergencies workers will have to cover the distance of about 300km. They will immediately begin emergency search and rescue operations upon arrival.
The first group will be divided into two teams: the first one will immediately start the rescue operation; the other will be setting up a field camp to ensure the work and accommodation of the squad.
The work is planned to be carried out autonomously 24/7.
