MINSK, 27 May (BelTA) - On 27 May, the official parliamentary delegation headed by Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova will go on a visit to the People's Republic of China, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper house of Belarusian Parliament.
The delegation also includes Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Vadim Ipatov, Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic Sergei Sivets, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Education, Science, Culture and Social Development of the Council of the Republic Igor Lutsky, Chairman of the Standing Commission on Economy, Budget and Finance of the Council of the Republic Vladislav Tatarinovich, Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev, and the head of the Bellegprom light industry concern Tatiana Lugina.
A high-level committee on cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries was established in accordance with the Agreement on Cooperation between the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China. During the visit, the committee will hold its first meeting.
The program of the visit is extensive and rich and features meetings with the leadership of the National People's Congress, the All-China Women's Federation, visits to social infrastructure facilities, etc.
Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives, deputy co-chairman of the high-level committee on cooperation between the legislative bodies of the Republic of Belarus and the People's Republic of China Vadim Ipatov will pay an official visit to China from 27 to 30 May as part of the parliamentary delegation of the Republic of Belarus.
The program of the visits envisages meetings with the leaders of the People's Republic of China, the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The parties are set to discuss the prospects for the development of the Belarusian-Chinese inter-parliamentary dialogue and also economic, social and humanitarian cooperation.
The parliamentary delegation is scheduled to visit a number of healthcare and education facilities in Tianjin.
