MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) - Schoolchildren from Syria are in Belarus for recuperation holidays, BelTA learned from the press service of the Education Ministry of Belarus.
The kids arrived to a warm welcome with bread and salt at Minsk National Airport and were immediately taken on an execution a part of the educational and excursion program "Cultural Heritage of Belarus".
This time Belarus is hosting more than 70 Syrian children. They will take part in the Belarusian-Syrian summer camp "From Heart to Heart" at the National Educational and Health Center Zubryonok.
The Education Ministry recalled that children from the Syrian Arab Republic come to Belarus for health recuperation holidays at the invitation of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. Since 2017 Belarus has hosted more than 1,300 young Syrians.
