Belarus, South Korea plan to bolster cooperation in tourism

MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – Belarus and South Korea plan to bolster cooperation in tourism, BelTA learned from the Belarusian National Tourism Agency following a meeting between Belarusian Deputy Minister of Sports and Tourism Oleg Andreichik and a delegation from South Korea.

Oleg Andreichik spoke about the country’s tourism potential, highlighting its unique historical and cultural landmarks, picturesque nature, and developed infrastructure. Consideration was given to the creation of tourism products tailored for Korean tourists. The parties discussed cooperation in various areas, including culture, health and eco-tourism.

The representatives of the delegation from South Korea noted the similarity of the cultures and peoples and the potential for cooperation. Representatives of tourism associations exchanged contacts.
The event was held as part of a familiarization tour that started on 27 October. The guests visited the Mir Castle Complex, the Nesvizh National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve, the Bolshoi National Opera and Ballet Theatre. The program also included a visit to the National Art Museum, the opening of an exhibition of Korean folk art, and a tour of the capital.

The familiarization tour was organized by the Belarusian Ministry of Sports and Tourism together with the Belarusian National Tourism Agency to develop cultural ties and tourist exchange.
