MINSK, 4 February (BelTA) – Belarus confirms it is ready to honor all the arrangements made at the top level. Belarusian Industry Minister, co-chairman of the Belarus-Iran joint economic commission Andrei Kuznetsov made the relevant statement at a solemn event on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution, BelTA has learned.
“Over the past decades Iran - the cradle of civilization and centuries-old wisdom - has demonstrated impressive resilience, capacity for improvement, and creativity despite numerous challenges and external pressures, turning them into momentum for further progress,” the minister noted. “Today the Islamic Republic of Iran is a country with strong potential in all areas, confidently implementing a strategy of sustainable development. The foundation of these achievements is the hard work, solidarity, and unity of the Iranian people.”
He emphasized that he had seen it himself during his visit to Iran in December 2025.
“Based on equality and respect for national interests, Belarusian-Iranian relations have been developing successfully for almost 33 years,” Andrei Kuznetsov pointed out. “During this time we have reached a whole new level of interstate cooperation, establishing a trust-based political dialogue and creating a solid foundation for strengthening and expanding ties in trade, economy, science, technology, and culture.”
“We highly appreciate results of the bilateral events held in 2025, including those at the highest level, and confirm the readiness of the Belarusian side to implement all the agreements that have been reached. Today, industry, technology, innovation, and joint projects are the areas where our countries can effectively complement each other and create new growth points for the benefit of our states,” the minister opined.
He noted that Minsk and Tehran actively cooperate in the international arena where they jointly defend the principles of justice, mutual respect, and multipolarity.
“At a time when the world is facing the threat of unilateral coercive measures it is important that we stand together against the challenges that could undermine stability in the region. I am convinced that further development of our bilateral strategic partnership will contribute to strengthening the sustainable architecture of international relations. I am particularly pleased to note the active and constructive position of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Belarus in establishing efficient cooperation and maintaining an active Belarusian-Iranian dialogue,” the minister concluded.
