MINSK, 29 July (BelTA) - The Investigative Committee has launched a criminal investigation into the incident involving an UAV in Minsk, BelTA learned from the Investigative Committee of Belarus.
Preliminary findings indicate that on the night of 29 July, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that had been detected by the Defense Ministry and neutralized by electronic warfare systems crashed without detonation in the courtyard of house No. 72 on Matusevicha Street. The wreckage of the drone damaged several vehicles parked near the house.
A joint investigative-operational team examined the incident site. A forensic investigator, assisted by specialists from the State Forensic Examination Committee and bomb disposal units, performed the scene inspection and documented the evidentiary traces. Recovered items included: UAV fuselage and wing fragments, the engine and navigation equipment, the payload containing TNT explosive and numerous metal ball bearings.

Currently, the Investigative Committee, in coordination with the appropriate government agencies, is working to establish all circumstances of the incident. The public will receive further updates as the investigation progresses.
