Belarus' Justice Ministry seeks EU expert assistance with one-stop shop system

MINSK, 6 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian Justice Ministry seeks expert assistance of the European Union in developing the one-stop shop system, BelTA has learned from the ministry.

Belarus Justice Minister Oleg Slizhevsky met with Vassilis Maragos, Head of Unit “Regional Programmes Neighborhood East” of the DG Neighborhood and Enlargement Negotiations of the European Commission to discuss cooperation in the near term. Special attention was given to the topic of assigning the EU resources to improve the one-stop shop system of providing services to the population. In line with Decree No.202 of 24 May 2018, the Justice Ministry is responsible for general coordination of activities of one-stop shop service providers.

Following the meeting, the parties will implement a number of joint activities to optimize administrative procedures and digitalize them. The Justice Ministry intends to explore best foreign practices in providing government services to the population.
