Belarus, Iran discuss military cooperation prospects

MINSK, 17 May (BelTA) – An accreditation meeting of Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department, Aide for International Military Cooperation to the Belarusian Defense Minister Valery Revenko and Military Attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Russian Federation with concurrent accreditation to the Republic of Belarus, Captain 1st Rank Reza Khosravi Moghadam took place on 16 May, the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

Valery Revenko and Reza Khosravi Moghadam discussed the state and prospects of advancement of bilateral military cooperation and exchanged opinions about matters concerning international and regional security.

It was the first accreditation of an Iranian military diplomat since diplomatic relations had been established between the Republic of Belarus and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
