MINSK, 25 September (BelTA) – Representatives of the Investigative Committee of Belarus and the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation met in Minsk on 25 September to discuss cooperation between the two agencies in the fight against transnational crime, BelTA has learned.

It was the third visit of FBI representatives to Belarus' Investigative Committee so far this year. The sides discussed matters concerning the improvement of investigation methods and the mechanism for interaction between the Committee and the Bureau in fighting transnational crime. The sides also agreed to continue the practice of sharing information of mutual interest.

The Belarusian side and the American one continue advancing cooperation in line with the memorandum the two agencies signed in Washington in January 2018.
