Belarus hosts visa-waiver travelers mostly from Germany, Estonia

MINSK, 23 September (BelTA) – Citizens of Germany and Estonia have taken advantage of Belarus' visa waiver more often than others, BelTA has learned from the State Border Committee.

Since the visa waiver program was updated two month ago, Belarus has welcomed about 6,000 visitors from 35 European countries. Most of them were from Germany and Estonia: 2,333 and 1,193 respectively. The top five countries whose citizens visited Belarus without visas also include Italy (379 visitors), France (220) and the United Kingdom (218).

Since 1 January 2024, Belarus has welcomed 67,032 visitors from Lithuania, 32,418 from Poland, 14,633 from Latvia. A total of 967,439 European residents have visited Belarus since 15 April 2022.
