MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) – Belarus is working to set up a series production of FPV drones, Chairman of Belarus’ State Authority for Military Industry Dmitry Pantus told journalists before a session of the agency’s board in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
"Last year, we showed the head of state the entire range of unmanned aerial vehicles developed and produced in Belarus. In 2024, Belarus’ Armed Forces commissioned two UAVs: the unmanned aerial complex Chekan V and the reconnaissance drone complex Berkut 3. This trend will remain in place. A lot of our new products will be displayed at MILEX 2025 [international exhibition of arms and military machinery]. Nowadays, we are ready for series production of unmanned aerial vehicles. The special military operation demonstrates that UAVs are developing at an accelerated pace, as well as the means to combat them. Therefore, work is continuously underway; we have many new products in the pipeline. Together with the Defense Ministry, we are working on launching series production, including the production of FPV drones. A lot has already been done in this direction and the work continues," Dmitry Pantus said.
He also touched upon the use of AI in Belarusian developments. "We use AI technologies in all software of all weapons’ types produced by the State Authority for Military Industry. We will keep working on this as we will not do without information technologies and digitalization," Dmitry Pantus stressed.
