MINSK, 4 April (BelTA) – Belarus' Council of Ministers passed Resolution No. 192 on 31 March 2025 to approve the regulation on the data exchange system on foreign citizens and stateless persons with Russia. The document was published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BelTA has learned.

The regulation establishes the principles of functioning of the data exchange system on border crossings at checkpoints, as well as on issued, canceled, invalidated and withdrawn identity documents of foreign citizens and stateless persons staying or residing in the territory of the Union State member states.

The document reads that the information system is designed to automate interstate information exchange in electronic form between the two states.

The data exchange system will help check the validity of identity documents of foreigners, as well as to control the crossing of the Union State border by foreigners with valid entry, exit, residence and transit permits.
