MINSK, 26 December (BelTA) – Another batch of Su-30SM2 fighter jets has landed at a Belarusian airfield, the press service of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

Deputy Chief of the Air Force and Air Defense Command, Deputy Chief of the Aviation Aleksandr Belyayev noted: “The arrival of new aviation hardware has already become a good tradition: the fleet is getting renewed inexorably. Look at the newly arrived Su-30SM2 aircraft. This fighter jet meets all the requirements for aviation equipment of this class. One feels truly happy when flying it.”

The officer also pointed out that these aircraft will soon undergo technical studies at an aviation base and will be deployed for combat alert duty to protect Belarus’ airspace within two weeks at most. “It is not the last batch. Later on new hardware will be delivered. The ability to defend our aerial borders will grow,” Aleksandr Belyayev added.
