Revision of Belarus president’s directives authorized

MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has given instructions to organize a revision of directives of the head of state, BelTA learned from Deputy Head of the Belarus President Administration Olga Chupris.

As many as 11 directives of the president are in effect. The latest one is number 12 and covers the realization of the foundations of the ideology of the Belarusian state. Meanwhile, directive No.5 on advancing relations with China has been invalidated.

“The president said that we should take a look at them. Certainly, we shouldn’t simply cancel them or review them and leave as many in place after making minor adjustments. He said we should deal with them smartly,” Olga Chupris said. “If we don’t need them, then it may be necessary to abolish them. If we need them but we see affinity, then respectively we should make one [directive] but a modern one so that everyone could understand where we should advance and how we should work.”

As an example she mentioned directive No.7 on improving and developing the housing and utilities system of the country and directive No.8 on priority directions of development of the civil engineering industry. These documents are similar in spirit and the areas they cover.

“It is quite possible that once we analyze these two directives, we will understand that we need one directive prompted by life and people’s needs in order to give an answer to the question of how we should develop the construction industry together with the housing and utilities system,” the deputy head of the Belarus President Administration explained.
