MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – We need to look into the situation around the Belarus sanatorium in Lithuania's Druskininkai, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said when summing up the results of the 6th Belarusian People's Congress in Minsk on 12 February, BelTA has learned.
“The delegates recalled the situation around the sanatorium in Druskininkai. I will ask the government to revisit this problem immediately and resolve it by taking the appropriate decision or submitting proposals for the president's consideration. We cannot abandon the people who work there,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
According to the president, Belarus has enough levers to influence Lithuania's decisions, and they should be used. “We must protect our people. It will also be a good warning for those who will seek to capitalize on such issues. We must respond to such actions. I ask you to prepare proposals,” the head of state said.
