Aleksandr Lukashenko
MINSK, 31 December (BelTA) – Meeting with people is the most important thing for the president on New Year’s Eve. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the relevant statement while talking to the staff of the Minsk Oblast Children’s Clinical Hospital on 31 December, BelTA has learned.
The medics wished a Happy New Year to the head of state and said with regret that many of them will have to spend the New Year’s night on duty. As a result, they will not be able to watch the president’s address to the Belarusian nation.
“I want you to be distracted by no diseases and for your patients to start recovering at this time,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
“As for your being unable to watch the address, you are on point. I often think about it. The most important thing for me is to see, meet at least for a minute with people, with Belarusians, with guests, who want to meet with the president,” the head of state noted. “It was very important for me to meet with you today and convey [New Year greetings] to all your colleagues through you.”
