Lukashenko signs document on Belarus’ accession to Board of Peace: Full text 

MINSK, 20 January (BelTA) - President Aleksandr Lukashenko, on behalf of the Republic of Belarus, has signed a document on Belarus’ accession to the Board of Peace and on the implementation of the provisions of the Peace Board Charter. The full text of this document has been made public, BelTA has learned.

"I have the honor to refer to the invitation from the Chairman of the Board of Peace dated 16 January 2026, proposing the consent of the Republic of Belarus to be bound by the Charter of the Board of Peace, the text of which was attached to this invitation from the Chairman,” reads the document, a photo of which was published by the Telegram channel Pul Pervogo. “I also have the honor to notify the Government of the United States of America, as the Depositary of the Charter, that the Republic of Belarus hereby accepts the Charter of the Board of Peace effective as of the date of this letter, which serves as the official notification of the Republic of Belarus’ consent to be bound by the Charter.” 
The document, signed by the Belarusian head of state and dated 20 January 2026, is addressed to the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
