MINSK, 1 December (BelTA) – On behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greeting to the people of Romania as the country celebrates National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.
“This holiday symbolizes numerous successes of your country and the strength of the unity of its citizens. The destinies of our peoples are very similar. Having survived severe trials and great losses in the 20th century, Belarusians and Romanians cherish their history, honor the culture and traditions of their ancestors, and strive to coexist in harmony with their neighbors,” the message of congratulations reads.
Over more than three decades of diplomatic relations, Minsk and Bucharest have come a long way, achieving significant progress in cooperation across the board, building an open and friendly dialogue at various levels, the president noted.
“I strongly believe that any successful partnership is based on invaluable human connections. I reaffirm my interest in developing constructive cooperation and invite you to visit Belarus more often to see for yourself the hospitality and friendliness of its people,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.
