Lukashenko sends greetings to Belarusian customs service

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated senior executives, personnel and veterans of Belarus' customs service on their professional holiday - Customs Officer's Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“The economic security and stable development of the Republic of Belarus largely depend on the proper fulfillment of important state tasks set before the Belarusian customs service,” the head of state remarked. “A stable inflow of revenues to the national budget, effective fight against smuggling, creation of favorable conditions for foreign operations of domestic enterprises play an important role in maintaining economic growth in the country.”

The president emphasized: “Smart planning and accurate forecasting, as well as comprehensive decisions in response to unfriendly actions by neighboring states help us protect the domestic market today and ensure smooth operation of our enterprises and transport logistics.”

Aleksandr Lukashenko dedicated particular mention to veterans whose experience and knowledge allow young employees to effectively carry out tasks set before the customs service today.

The president wished everyone good health, well-being and new achievements in the name of the prosperity of the Republic of Belarus.
