LYUBAN DISTRICT, 23 May (BelTA) - The sale of Belarusian potash fertilizers has reached the pre-sanction levels, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at an onsite meeting on 23 May to discuss the construction and commissioning of the mining and processing complex in Lyuban District, BelTA has learned.
“They have imposed sanctions against potash fertilizers and what happened? Today [Belaruskali Director General] Andrei Rybakov reports that the potash fertilizer sales have reached the sales the pre-sanction levels. It is impossible to restrain the development of any country, even a small one, by sanctions. It is simply impossible,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
“Those who impose sanctions once advocated globalization, global ties and so on. Today all the countries are tied into this globalization. How can one break any chain today? It is impossible,” the president said. “Mineral fertilizers will always be in demand. Therefore, we will keep working in this direction.”
