ISLAMABAD, 27 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko had an informal lunch with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan on 27 November, BelTA has learned.
The meeting of the two leaders took place at the family residence of Shehbaz Sharif in the resort town of Murree. The Belarusian head of state had an informal lunch with members of his family, including former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan.
"I have not seen my father so happy for a long time. It is because he is meeting you, Mr. President," Nawaz Sharif's daughter remarked during a family lunch.
The day before, Aleksandr Lukashenko held official talks with Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad. The parties focused on expanding mutually beneficial cooperation and developing trade and economic interaction. Aleksandr Lukashenko and Shehbaz Sharif discussed the most promising areas of cooperation and a joint action plan for the future.
