Lukashenko encourages Belarusians to do their part, contribute to country’s development

MOZYR, 6 November (BelTA) –Citizens should make a contribution of their own to the common cause of developing the country by doing their jobs. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the relevant statement during a solemn ceremony held to open a renovated bridge over the Pripyat River in the city of Mozyr, Gomel Oblast on 6 November, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “The situation [around the country] is complicated, very complicated. I don’t just drop it all on you for no reason. I have always asked one thing from you: give me economy. Give me bridges, roads, milk, meat, and the rest. While I will take care of military affairs and security. Those are my domain. I will deal with them. I know how to address them. I’ve been doing more or less well so far.”

“This is why get yourselves in mood to work well. Remember that nobody will do what you haven’t done. Neither me nor anyone else. Everyone should do their part. Everyone is responsible for their little piece of land, for their little piece of work and should do it. It is the most important thing. We need discipline all the way,” the president added.
