MINSK, 27 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to congratulate Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva on his 80th birthday, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Thanks to your selfless work as president, your personal qualities and life experience, Brazil is confidently continuing on its own path of development, striving to strengthen its independence and improve the well-being of its citizens,” the message of congratulations reads.
The head of state also noted Brazil’s increasing clout in international affairs and its active stance on consolidating the countries of the Global South, building a multipolar world, and settling conflicts in various regions.
“These efforts find support in Belarus, a peace-loving state that firmly adheres to the principles of mutual respect and sovereignty. We aspire to deepen dialogue with Brasília and practical cooperation in all areas of mutual interest,” the president emphasized.
Aleksandr Lukashenko also extended an invitation to Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva to visit Minsk at a suitable time to discuss bilateral ties and coordinated efforts on the global stage aimed at a fair and peaceful future.
