MINSK, 14 November (BelTA)- Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 398 on 14 November to approve a draft protocol on amendments to the Agreement on the Procedure for the Formation and Execution of the Budget of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) of 1 December 2017. This approval serves as the basis for conducting negotiations, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.
The draft protocol establishes the possibility of paying annual contributions to the SCO budget not only in U.S. dollars but also in other currencies.
The government is authorized to sign this international treaty. It is planned that the signing will take place during the meeting of the SCO Heads of Government (Prime Ministers) Council in Moscow on 18 November 2025.
