MINSK, 30 October (BelTA) – China and Belarus are jointly committed to advancing a multipolar world, Deputy Director of the China-Belarus Development Analysis Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences Zhao Huirong told BelTA following the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, BelTA has learned.
“Belarus is an all-weather and comprehensive strategic partner of China. Belarus supports and actively participates in initiatives put forward by China, such as the Belt and Road Initiative, the community with a shared future for mankind, as well as initiatives on global security, global development, global civilization, and global governance. Within these initiatives, cooperation between China and Belarus makes a significant contribution to peaceful development on the planet,” Zhao Huirong emphasized.

She specifically highlighted the importance of Belarus as a key partner in the Belt and Road Initiative. Belarus was one of the first countries to respond to this initiative and is actively participating in its implementation.
“The China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone is a landmark project of the Belt and Road Initiative. Thanks to the attention and support of both nations’ leaders, the park is developing rapidly and has become a flagship project of China-Belarus cooperation,” said the Chinese representative.

She highlighted the importance of Belarus being one of the first countries to respond to building the community with a shared future for mankind. “China and Belarus are cooperating successfully in this area, jointly implementing numerous initiatives that help popularize the concept worldwide,” she emphasized.

Zhao Huirong noted: “The Global Governance Initiative is the fourth global initiative put forward by President Xi Jinping at the SCO summit in Tianjin. Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko immediately voiced his full support and willingness to actively participate in it, reflecting the high level of long-standing mutual trust between China and Belarus. The two countries are jointly striving to promote a multipolar world and democratize international relations, contributing to the improvement of global governance.”

Summing up, the deputy director of the China-Belarus Development Analysis Center said: “Cooperation between China and Belarus continues to deepen across a wide range of fields. This partnership delivers tangible benefits for both nations while simultaneously contributing to global peace and development, setting an example of friendly interstate cooperation for the world.”
