MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Belarus highly values the sincere friendship with China, Belarusian First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov said at an official meeting to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China foundation on 29 September, BelTA has learned.
“Today our countries stand as a unique example of a dialogue entirely free of pitfalls,” the first vice premier said. “We have no long-standing historical grievances, no geopolitical rivalry, no competition for influence, and no trade wars. Instead of disputes and conflicts, we have joint projects, instead of distrust – openness and willingness to support.”
“This year also marks 30 years since the first official visit of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to the People’s Republic of China, and 15 years since the first visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Belarus which he made while serving as the Chinese vice president,” Nikolai Snopkov noted.

He noted that the year 2025 is marked by a number of significant anniversaries. The 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 80th anniversary of the Chinese people’s victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Militarism, where the cemented friendship of Belarus and China became an inexhaustible source of true brotherhood and laid a solid foundation for future cooperation.

“It was that meeting, that personal acquaintance in 2010, that became the solid foundation of the current friendship between our leaders and the strategic dialogue between Belarus and China,” Nikolai Snopkov said.
