MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ First Deputy Prime Minister Nikolai Snopkov met with Xu Xinrong, the chairman of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, in Minsk on 20 June, BelTA learned.
“Belarus and China are examples of government focused work for the benefit of the people. This is the unprecedented level of relationship. The cooperation between Belarus and China relies on unconditional friendship, sincerity and support of our leaders. Their warm relations are the guiding force and basis of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation.
Back in 2022, in Samarkand, our leaders formalized a joint statement establishing an all-weather and comprehensive strategic partnership that outlined the basic principles for developing exemplary relations between the two countries in a new era. We know that these principles are the basis of both interstate relations and also ties between people. Most importantly, it’s not the principles that shape the relationships. These principles have grown out from the relationships. We have a huge responsibility to fill this partnership with relevant content. As the head of state says, our task is to raise the level of economic cooperation to the level of political cooperation,” Nikolai Snopkov said.
Belarus and China should intensify cooperation in all areas, he stressed. “Today there are all prerequisites for that. We look forward to active, effective and comprehensive cooperation with Shaanxi Province and count on mutually beneficial projects. I will be happy to discuss priority areas of Belarus’ cooperation with China, in particular with your province, the first deputy prime minister said.
