MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) - A drone attack on an official vehicle of the International Atomic Energy Agency on the road to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant is a provocation by the Ukrainian armed forces, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, commenting on Kiev's attack on International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) personnel, TASS reports.
Moscow called on the United States, the United Kingdom, and their allies to end any support for Vladimir Zelensky’s regime. "Kiev’s actions are a clear provocation ahead of an extraordinary meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors, set to be held at Ukraine’s initiative on 12 December," the statement reads. "We call on the US, the United Kingdom, and their allies to end any support for the Zelensky regime and take measures to bring those responsible for the act of provocation to justice," the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
"We strongly condemn these actions by the Kiev regime, which has come to believe in its impunity," the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed. "Zelensky and those who support him reckon neither with the consequences nor with the international community’s opinion, in fact, rejecting the very idea and principles of nuclear safety and security, sacrificing those to their ambitions and destructive policy."
Earlier IAEA Rafael Grossi informed about a drone attack on an official vehicle of the International Atomic Energy Agency on the road to the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant on 10 December. According to him, there were no casualties and the teams are safe.
