MINSK, 16 February (BelTA) - The negotiations in Geneva on Ukraine, compared to the rounds in Abu Dhabi, will cover a broader range of topics. All the main issues will be considered there, including those concerning territories, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, TASS reports

“This time, we plan to discuss a broader set of issues, focusing on the key ones related to the territories and other issues. This requires the presence of our chief negotiator, [Vladimir] Medinsky,” the Kremlin spokesman explained.

Along with presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky, the Russian delegation will include Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces’ General Staff Igor Kostyukov and other officials.

The Russian president’s special envoy for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev, will also fly to Geneva to discuss issues of economic cooperation.

Dmitry Peskov noted that the Russian president is in constant contact with negotiators on the Ukrainian settlement. The head of state gave the Russian delegation detailed instructions before their departure to Geneva.

A new round of trilateral negotiations involving Russia, Ukraine, and the United States is due in Geneva on 17-18 February. Representing Ukraine will be Head of the Presidential Office Kirill Budanov, his first deputy Sergey Kislitsa, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, Chief of the General Staff Andrei Gnatov, Servant of the People faction leader David Arakhamia, and Deputy Defense Intelligence Chief Vadym Skibitsky.
