MOSCOW, 24 August (BelTA-TASS) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has appointed Mikhail Babich Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia to Belarus. The corresponding decree was posted on Russia's official Internet portal of legal information on 24 August.
Before his new appointment Mikhail Babich served as Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District.
In his other decree, the Russian president also appointed Mikhail Babich special presidential envoy for promoting trade and economic cooperation with Belarus.
Mikhail Babich was relieved of his duties as Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District.
