MINSK, 28 October (BelTA) – Eurasian security can only be built on the principles of justice, sovereignty and mutual respect, President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats of the Republika Srpska (entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina) Milorad Dodik said at the 3rd Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security, BelTA has learned.
According to Milorad Dodik, Minsk is a city of peace, resilience and dignity. “The Republika Srpska is here guided by the firm belief that Eurasian security can only be built on the principles of justice, sovereignty and mutual respect,” he emphasized.

He stated that Brussels made a mistake more than 10 years ago when it decided to disregard the principles of the Minsk agreements. Their violation led to the conflict in Ukraine. Therefore, Milorad Dodik noted, it is important that “we believe in dialogue.”

There should be dialogue, not domination, the speaker believes: “We believe in harmony, in balance. Peace is a solid agreement, trust that cannot be sold, and respect that cannot be imposed by force.”
Today it is very important to talk about a stability model that is built, not imposed. “Establishing peace means creating conditions for everyone to feel safe, since security is indivisible. If one side is threatened, no one is safe. In recent decades, we have seen some Western military alliances led by NATO trying to impose their definition of peace on the world. But wherever these definitions were applied, misfortune followed. Instead of trust, fear settled in. Instead of stability, there was prolonged instability,” Milorad Dodik said.
