MINSK, 12 May (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Valery Brylev met with President of Serbia's National Assembly Ivica Dacic on 11 May, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties hailed the high level of the Belarusian-Serbian relations and reaffirmed the two countries' commitment to continue strengthening friendly ties and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
Valery Brylev and Ivica Dacic also expressed interest in intensifying interstate contacts. In order to develop the inter-parliamentary dialogue, Ivica Dacic invited high-ranking officials of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to visit Serbia.
The parties also reviewed the prospects for advancing the trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Serbia, including possible joint projects, and other issues of bilateral cooperation, such as mutual support in international organizations.
“The parties expressed readiness to make every effort to advance the entire range of the Belarusian-Serbian relations,” the ministry noted.
