MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – A delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to the OSCE PA led by Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs of the House of Representatives Sergei Rachkov will take part in the 25th Winter Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly in Vienna, Austria on 19-20 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.
The Belarusian delegation will take part in meetings of the OSCE PA Standing Committee, the three General Committees (on Political Affairs and Security; Economic Affairs, Science, Technology & Environment, and on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Questions) and also joint meetings. Discussions will be held on topics related to strengthening regional peace based on comprehensive security, coordinated OSCE actions in response to challenges in the field of economic and environmental security, and ensuring the integrity of electoral processes in the context of hybrid threats and malicious foreign influence.
The Belarusian delegation is expected to deliver speeches on the main items of the meeting's agenda and to meet with MPs from the OSCE participating states.
The delegation includes Oleg Rummo, a member of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic, a member of the delegation of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus to the OSCE PA.
