Belarus, North Kazakhstan Region chart new paths for cooperation

MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) –  On 9 February, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Aleksei Bogdanov met with First Deputy Akim of North Kazakhstan Region Marat Tasmaganbetov, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Astana.

During the talks, the parties discussed expanding mutual trade and establishing joint ventures in sectors such as agriculture, food production, mechanical engineering, and logistics.

The first edition of the upcoming Forum of Regions of Belarus and Kazakhstan was also addressed, with the Kazakh side expressing its interest in strengthening cooperation with Belarusian regions.

Aleksei Bogdanov reviewed the operations of the QYZYLJAR Free Economic Zone and its special legal regime. He also toured an agricultural machinery assembly plant, a paper processing facility, and a plywood manufacturing site, where potential cooperation with Belarusian companies was explored.
