MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a briefing for foreign diplomats to discuss the situation at the border with Lithuania on 12 November, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov told journalists, BelTA has learned.
“The current situation has sparked significant interest and concern among Belarus’ key partners in the EAEU and the European Union. In order to provide them with full information, detailed data, and the Belarusian position, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today convened a briefing for the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the Republic of Belarus with the participation of the deputy minister,” Maxim Ryzhenkov said.
Diplomats were briefed on Belarus’ approaches and assured of the country’s readiness to hold negotiations and resolve the situation as soon as possible.
