Belarus approves humanitarian aid package for Vietnam

MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) - In accordance with the instruction of the Belarusian president, the Council of Ministers has decided to send humanitarian assistance to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The corresponding resolution was signed by Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin, the government press service told BelTA.

The government has instructed the Emergencies Ministry, together with the relevant agencies, to assemble a humanitarian shipment consisting of Belarusian-made goods: 5.6 tonnes of whole condensed milk with sugar, 10 tonnes of sugar, 1,500 blankets, over 7,000 bedspreads, and 2,000 sets of bedding.

In cooperation with the Transport and Communucations Ministry, arrangements must be made to deliver the shipment to the brotherly Vietnamese people.

As it was previously reported, Aleksandr Lukashenko made a decision to provide humanitarian aid to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in response to Hanoi’s official request for assistance after a series of devastating natural disasters struck Vietnam in 2025, causing significant loss of life and destruction.

The Republic of Belarus will send aid to the fraternal Vietnamese people, guided by the principle of humanism and the strategic partnership relations established between the two countries.
