Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament to launch next November

DUBAI, 7 May (BelTA - Emirates News Agency) - Following the success of the inaugural Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament in 2024, which attracted 24,000 spectators, the elite international event will return from 9th to 16th November 2025, with early-bird tickets now on sale.

Due to surging interest in padel, organisers Gallop Global have moved the tournament to the 15,000-capacity Hamdan Sports Complex, the largest indoor sports venue in the Middle East. This marks a significant upgrade from the 5,000-capacity Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium used last year.

The new venue features a record-setting 7,000-seater Centre Court - the largest in UAE padel history – and will include three secondary courts and two practice courts open for spectators.

General admission tickets start from AED36, available via Platinumlist.com. Each Centre Court ticket includes access to all other competition courts.

The total prize pool has risen slightly from €470,000 (AED1.96 million) to €474,500 (AED1.98 million), further elevating the tournament’s stature. The event is expected to draw the world’s top-ranked players, including men’s World No.1 pairing Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia, and women’s leaders Ari Sanchez and Paula Josemaria.

Sheikh Saeed bin Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Padel Association (UAEPA), hailed the return of the Championship as a landmark for the sport, which has rapidly gained popularity in the country since the UAEPA’s founding in 2014.

Saeed Mohammed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, said the event’s relocation to the Hamdan Sports Complex underscores the UAE’s growing status in the global padel scene.

Ahmed Al Khaja, CEO of Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), noted the tournament’s role in supporting Dubai’s ambition to be the world’s best city to live, work and visit, while contributing to the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33.

Tournament Director Ivan Modia, who also serves as CEO of Gallop Global, said the changes made for the second edition reflect the growth of padel and the commitment to delivering a world-class event supported by the UAE’s leadership.

The UAEPA is one of Asia’s pioneering padel federations and has played a key role in the sport’s development since its official recognition in 2014. The UAE now hosts around 1,000 padel courts—30 percent of Asia’s total and two percent globally.
