Brazil launches first-ever hybrid education course for secondary school teachers

MOSCOW, 25 March (BelTA - TV BRICS) - The Brazilian Ministry of Education has launched the country’s first-ever course on hybrid education for public secondary school teachers.

This initiative aims to redefine teaching practices by integrating innovative hybrid methodologies into classrooms across Brazil. This is reported by the official website of Brazilian Ministry of Education.

Valdirene Alves de Oliveira, General Coordinator for Secondary Education at Ministry of Education, highlighted the unprecedented nature of the programme.

"This is the first hybrid education course tailored for basic education teachers, starting with secondary education, but it lays the groundwork for future initiatives to support primary school educators as well," she explained.

The project, designed for approximately 1,000 public school teachers across 23 Brazilian states and the Federal District, introduces hybrid teaching methods that combine virtual and in-person learning.

The 80-hour course consists of 72 hours of virtual learning and 8 hours of in-person sessions. According to the source, participants will explore topics such as hybrid education’s role in schools, digital teaching tools, and integrated lesson planning, with a comprehensive guide serving as the foundation for their training.
