Russia’s Perm Territory governor outlines key cooperation areas with Belarus

MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – Russia’s Perm Territory sees great potential in robotization and automation cooperation with Belarus, Perm Territory Governor Dmitry Makhonin said at a meeting with Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich on the sidelines of the INNOPROM. Belarus expo, which opened in Minsk on 29 September, BelTA has learned.

“Today we will visit the Minsk Bearing Plant, which implements projects on automation and robotization of production together with our Perm company Robotekh. Indeed, we see very great prospects here,” Dmitry Makhonin said.
He added that Perm Territory runs one of the most attractive leasing programs for Belarusian agricultural machinery. Apart from that, Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) vehicles are used as part of the public transport upgrade effort.

“Our motor transport enterprises also largely use MAZ and MTZ machinery. Therefore, we believe that the programs offered by the Belarusian side are very attractive for us. Particularly in light of the rather high interest rates, which are currently in place in Russia,” the Perm Territory governor noted.

Viktor Karankevich stated that the exhibition will highlight recent achievements in bolstering technological sovereignty and close industrial cooperation between business entities of Belarus and Perm Territory.
