Rosselkhoznadzor lifts import restrictions for three Belarusian companies

MINSK, 19 April (BelTA) – The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) has allowed the import of meat products made by three Belarusian companies, BelTA informs citing Rosselkhoznadzor.

The cleared meat producers will have to undergo enhanced laboratory control. These are the Mstislavsky branch of Babushkina Krynka; Borisov Meat Packing Plant No.1 (with some exceptions) and the Skidel Poultry Farm subsidiary of Agrokombinat Skidelsky. Products intended for the Russian market should be manufactured no earlier than 15 April and should have electronic veterinary certificates.

The decision was made taking into account the guarantees of the Veterinary and Food Oversight Department of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry, and is based on the findings of the study of the materials provided.
