MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) – The polished draft of the program on Belarus’ social and economic development will be submitted to the president on 1 November. Chairman of the Board of the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB) Roman Golovchenko made the statement for mass media after delivering a report to the head of state on 29 October, BelTA has learned. Roman Golovchenko leads the working group in charge of polishing the program.
Roman Golovchenko said: “We have clearly identified the priorities, mechanisms, tasks, and indicators we will use to evaluate the successful accomplishment of various tasks. The president emphasized that, first of all, the program should be realistic. Secondly, it should be concrete. And thirdly, it should be understandable. We will finish this work within literally the next few days. As the executive order specifies, we will submit it to the head of state on 1 November.”
The official remarked that work on the program will not stop then. The document has yet to be discussed with delegations sent by the regions before it is submitted for consideration of the Belarusian People’s Congress in December. Some other format may be organized as well. “We are intent on making this program accessible and understandable. We would like every person in our country to understand what Belarus will become in five years,” the head of the working group said.
