MINSK, 4 April (BelTA) – Belarus may discuss a new loan on joint import-substituting projects with Russia, Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin told the media in Minsk on 4 April, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian government delegation is scheduled to pay a visit to Russia in the near future to discuss various issues of bilateral cooperation. As for the possibility of getting a new loan from Russia, Aleksandr Turchin said: “This is one of the topics under discussion between our ministries today. The Belarusian side is working on possible projects. So I think that this topic may be discussed in Moscow.”
As BelTA reported earlier, in 2022 Russia provided Belarus with a state financial loan of RUB105 billion for import-substituting projects. In the subsequent period, the parties actively worked on the implementation of the relevant projects. Last year the parties started talking about the possibility of a new similar loan.
