Plans to launch three new Belarus-Russia Union State R&D programs in 2022

MINSK, 31 March (BelTA) – Plans have been made to begin the implementation of three new R&D programs of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. Chairman of the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus Sergei Shlychkov made the statement during the expert and media forum “The Union State: Economic integration - development tasks”, BelTA has learned.

Sergei Shlychkov said that the space program Complex-SG is one of them. The draft concept of the program has been approved by the Council of Ministers of the Union State of Belarus and Russia.

There are plans to develop onboard electronics for motor vehicles as part of the R&D program Intelauto. The electronics will be better than world analogs and will include among other things systems for engine control, onboard safety, robotized driving, highly effective electric motors, and other components. The draft of the program's concept has already been approved.

The R&D program Component-F is supposed to produce new laser equipment, which is used for processing various materials (in radio photonics, high-speed communications, thermonuclear fusion) and in medical equipment. The draft of the program's concept has been approved by the governments of Belarus and Russia and forwarded by the Council of Ministers to the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia for consideration.
