BREST, 28 January (BelTA) – A new company residing in the free economic zone (FEZ) Brest intends to build a transport and logistics terminal, BelTA learned from Vadim Kravchuk, head of the FEZ Brest administration.
OOO SanSpectr has joined the ranks of the residents of the Brest investment platform. The company will focus its efforts on setting up a modern transport and logistics terminal designed to provide comprehensive cargo management services. It is expected to provide temporary storage, sorting, customs clearance, and cargo handling services using advanced supply chain management technologies. The company’s main efforts will be focused on providing container transshipment and freight forwarding services for cargo transported by rail.
The creation of the terminal will contribute to the development of the logistics infrastructure of Brest Oblast and increase its export potential. The investor plans to acquire real estate in 2026-2027, then carry out preparatory work to enable the terminal’s operation. It is scheduled to begin operating in 2029.
As many as 77 enterprises are residents of the free economic zone Brest. In 2025 they saw an increase in fixed-capital investments, merchandise export, and the manufacturing of innovative products. As many as 29 companies were engaged in the manufacturing of import-substituting products. Their output volumes also increased.
“Export by enterprises in the free economic zone Brest to the Russian Federation is growing rapidly. Shipments to other CIS countries have also increased. These include Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. As for remote countries, export has increased significantly to a number of Middle East countries, namely Iraq, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Bahrain,” said Vadim Kravchuk, head of the FEZ Brest administration.
