SOLIGORSK, 19 June (BelTA) – OAO Belaruskali should develop the production of NPK fertilizers, Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said during his visit to the company on 18 June, BelTA informs.
NPK fertilizers contain the whole range of mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphor, potassium and some microelements) necessary for the healthy growth of plants. It is possible to produce fertilizers different in chemical composition and proportion of active materials. “We should take into account these nuances proceeding from customers' preferences. Asia needs one type of fertilizers, Europe – another one,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.
Speaking about the production volumes, Mikhail Myasnikovich stressed the need to take into account the market demand. “The markets of Southeast Asia are mainly oriented on such fertilizers. The technology of NPK fertilizer production helps the company conduct a flexible policy, take into account clients' needs,” he added.
“With the development of new facilities Belaruskali, which has been mainly associated with the production of fertilizers, turns into a chemical holding company that works on its own raw material and makes products that are in demand on world markets,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.
The public joint-stock company (OAO) Belaruskali is one of the largest producers and exporters of potassium fertilizers in the world. According to the International Fertilizer Industry Association, Belaruskali accounts for one-seventh of the world's output of potassium fertilizers. Belaruskali exports the merchandise to over 70 countries. The enterprise operates four mining departments and several auxiliary and service subdivisions.
