Minsk fully stocked with food and supplies

MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) - Commodity stocks, especially stocks of foods, including imported ones, are available in Minsk retail and warehouses in sufficient quantities, Nina Yemelyanova, the head of the general directorate of trade and services of the Minsk City Hall, told BelTA.

The directorate monitors Minsk retail chains and stocks on a daily basis.

“The situation with food and supplies in Minsk retail chains is stable. There are fewer buyers now. Partly people have switched to home delivery. Demand for food is moderate and fully satisfied,” Nina Yemelyanova assured. “We have a wide range of products available in retail. Across a number of products, such as meat, cheese, butter, milk, bread, and eggs, we satisfy the demand with domestically-made products,” she said.

Retail and wholesale, large importers collect information about the availability of vital import goods such as buckwheat, rice, imported vegetable oil (there was an increased demand for them some time ago). We have enough stocks of these products in retail and warehouses,” Nina Yemelyanova noted.
